I ordered 3 relatively simple English to German Translations on a Thursday, explained that I must receive them by next Tuesday. Agent replied that this would be done. Charge was originally 58 Euro (x3) per document, ended up being over 230 Euro plus 40 Euro PayPal fee. On Monday I requested tracking number and status update - the answer was simply documents will arrive as agreed. By Tuesday afternoon no documents were received. Email exchange back and forth for 2 days with agent (located in Switzerland) where my questions were never completely answered, some not at all, other replies were somewhat incoherent. The agent obviously has no communications skills. I asked several times to have a phone conversation to no avail. Finally he told me that they prefer e-mail because there are so many inquiries. As a result I was not able to keep my important meeting with the local municipal office which in turn will cost me extra expenses. Long story short, I had sent no less than 20 e-mails where a couple of phone calls could have been much more effective. It turned out the documents had been sent with regular mail on Monday with expected delivery on Tuesday but regular mail has no guarantee of one day delivery. When I asked for another set to be sent with express/courier on Wednesday (I offered to cover the expense) my request was ignored.
When a promise is made to have important documents delivered within one day, regular mail is just not an acceptable option. I guess I bear part of the blame because I presumed it would be sent courier (given the high price).
The document arrived on Thursday, 2 days later than promised, this agent needs some serious customer service training and I certainly will never use this company again.
I am not going to mention the name of the agent but I hope with the information I have provided the company will be able to identify him and retrain in order to prevent other customers to have similar experiences.
