I purchased a theme from TemplateMonster, and after the six-month support period expired, the theme started having compatibility issues with Elementor. The page builder stopped functioning properly because the theme was no longer up to date. I contacted the theme author, who promptly fixed the issue, but they informed me that TemplateMonster was taking a long time to approve the update that would resolve the bug and restore full functionality.
When I reached out to TemplateMonster support, they claimed that the update had been released on January 30th, 2025. However, I never received any email notification about this, nor did my account dashboard reflect any new status, update, or release information in any way. I had been waiting for weeks, unable to work on my website, all because TemplateMonster failed to communicate transparently.
I raised my concerns with their support team about the lack of transparency, only to have many of my questions ignored. Instead, they told me that my support had expired and that I would need to renew it for $77. However, it is not my responsibility to pay for an update that should be made available to all customers, regardless of support status.
TemplateMonster's handling of this situation feels dishonest and misleading. Their lack of communication and refusal to address a critical issue shows a complete disregard for their customers. This was my first purchase from them, and I deeply regret it. I will never buy from TemplateMonster again—this experience has been frustrating, disappointing, and a complete waste of time and money. Their customer support is terrible, and their platform lacks basic transparency regarding updates.

I used template monster in the past and had no problems however, recently I purchased tow templates with the installation/setup add on service and it was a nightmare. Not only did they NOT get the templates to install after 1 month of going back and forth and getting the run around (asking for the same login information over and over), they said that I would need to sign-up with HOST POPPA because they know it will work. So I gave them access to HOST POPPA and they still never successfully installed the templates. I asked for a refund 3 times during this mess via their chat and via email (because they never answered the phone) and they eventually ghosted me even after they said they would refund me. So I disputed my credit card charge with my CC company and Template Monster lied to my credit card and claimed that they installed my templates with no problems.
I would recommend staying away from Spencer and this company as they are not to be trusted!
Absolute worst experience I have ever had. Support is useless, I dealt with a online ticket consultant named * who is probably the most incompetent person I have ever met.
Theme doesn't work, service is terrible and no on replies to emails.
Think twice before using this company.

I purchased their lifetime subscription for $529, but after 24 hours realized their WordPress themes had licensed plugins that required you to purchase an additional license to receive updates. I wanted to use this professional subscription for my clients, but I can't pass that cost on to them.
I requested a refund within 24 hours of the purchase and was denied because I downloaded 3 templates for testing purposes. They are not installed on any websites or live anywhere.
Terrible service, they could have easily refunded my money since I was so quick to test and request my money back after learning how bad their products are.
We're sorry for the misunderstanding. According to our contract, the theme author has to keep his product up to date. Therefore, if the plugin becomes outdated, the author will provide an updated version of the plugin. You won't be forced to pay extra. TemplateMonster are a pack of fraudsters. I paid $199 for the template customization service, and after 3 months and many attempts asking them to complete my work (with clear instructions), all they have done is load a logo I supplied them (and even that took 3 attempts to get correct in wordpress). Stay clear of these people, especially templates from DREAMIT. I raised a dispute for a refund, and templateMonster refused. Hopefully, PayPal can assist to retrieve the amount i paid, as I will show all evidence, emails and communication from TemplateMonster. I quote *. I paid for the all-inclusive web development package in February. It's now July and I don't have a website. I provided the content and it was just a cut and paste. No professionalism in placement. No edits. The website is plain white despite sharing the mood board colors. My home page reads " welcome to Turista" which is the name of the WordPress Template. Photos were posted even with the instructions I shared on their captioning. Total waste of money and time. I can't get my business licensed without a website. This is a whole disaster.

I have bought a WordPress Theme with Classic Website Customization Service for a total of $221. I got my website in 14 days. Recommend that you describe your request in the best possible way in order to get a result in a reasonable amount of time.
I am very disappointed with TemplateMonster. I ordered a template. Unfortunately the template didn't work properly and I wanted my money back. I submitted the application within 2 hours after the purchase! There is no way to test the template beforehand. So you only know after buying it. No courtesy from TemplateMonster... won't let me cancel the purchase and the money is gone.

Very waste time on purchasing here. They doesn't implement OTP on the payment stage and request credit card photo from the clients, that's ridiculous! You need to communicate to online agent and email, waste 30 mins to complete the order.
