I did the trial. For exactly 2 days. One huge problem up front: For day-trading, having pre-market chart data is crucial and stock-charts does not offer that. Also, some traders trade outside of the day. Not having data pre and post market is utterly inexcusable considering others offer this functionality for free as well as the ability to actively zoom in and out. If I have to use another charting service to check the pre-market, what is the point of paying stock-charts for their service? My assumption was that a paid charting service would be a one stop shop for traders needing a quality charting service, I assumed wrong.
Stockcharts.com has lots going for it. It offers a quick and easy stock search with a decent assortment of indicators all for free. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is the price of the paid version is too high. Other then that, its a great popular chart source that definitely helps level the playing field.
I gave it three stars only because the free version is limited to five years worth of charts. The premium version is excellent but the monthly cost is a bit too high. They should offer it for less than 9 bucks a month.
This place is a great place for the novice player to brush up on technical analysis
If you are into technical analysis this is a good place to start. Its free for chart with up to 5 years worth of data and many of the indicators are free too. Woud be nice if they had 10 and 20 years charts but hey its free so I can't complain
The free charts are great here. Wish they would allow for more than 5 year charts without charging a fee, but other than that gripe I would have to say the charts are pretty good and the option to make them large is great
The free service is good enough, the paid service is a bit expensive in the era of the internet. If i had to pay I would rather pay for tradingview, the learning curve is a bit steeper but the charts are excellent and the monthly rate is cheaper, However. I have free accounts on both as I don't think i should have to pay for what is essentially free data. The only novel aspect here is the charts and that should not cost more than 9 bucks a month
If you are looking for a free source with great charts, this is the place. The great TA studies are an added bonus. Only small gripe is I wish they would provide 10 years charts for free
A good place for those looking for good free charts that have a host of technical analysis studies. They also provide a lot of info on the differrent types of technical analysis studies offerred
Very good charts and they are free so this is outstanding. Its also a great place to learn the basics on TA
