Not a Good Neighbor
April 27, 2025

State Farm is not "like a good neighbor" as they advertise. In fact, if they lived next door to me and I was bleeding out, and knocked on their door for help, not only would they not help, but they would slam the door in my face, turn off the lights and pull the shades.

CRIMINALS!
April 10, 2025

They defrauded me many times, raised my premium ~50% every time I have been victim of accidents where I was not at fault, they are extremely passive aggressive. They got $10,000 from the insurance company of the other driver by winning the case in arbitration, but sent me an email stating that they had lost the case. When I insisted to receive my case file so that I could fight it myself, they finally confessed that they had won the case and allowed me to get my $500 of out of pocket expenses back. To get it reimbursed as promised, I had to call them dozens of times in extremely frustrating back and forth in which they pretended to send me the check in my mail but it would never arrive, they pretended to send it to the wrong address, and ultimately they finally paid me after several months of struggle and frustration. I have started with a $300 per month to then pay $580 per month for years! I am trying to find another insurance but they have blacklisted me and so I can only keep paying them. THEY ARE CRIMINALS. DO NOT GET IN THE TRAP. I am now requesting my client's file and THEY REFUSED TO GIVE IT TO ME MANY MANY TIMES! They conspire with other corporations to retaliate against whistleblowers and are extremely abusive. DO NOT WORK FOR THEM, PAY THEIR INSURANCE, HIRE THEM IN ANY WAYS. This corporation has lost its function in our system and it is only abusive, hence it is a cancer and it is oppressing us.

I been with StateFarm for years! The last 6 months my monthly payment has gone up $56 dollars! I made a claim on my boat and they told me I was covered! Took 37 days for them to send someone out to look at the damage! Then they decided I was not covered and denied my claim! I try to call but nobody will talk to me or return my calls! No choice but to get a lawyer! It should not have to go this way!

After suffering a house fire, I requested an experienced adjuster. The one they sent was awful. After sending numerous emails, calling, posting to social media and having my agent request a new adjuster here I am with the same incompetent adjuster. I guess I hire an attorney next.

Beware! State Farm is NOT a good neighbor.

I'm Billy Livingston. I've had full coverage for two years. I wish I can sue them or get a refund to fix my truck. Today's world. State Farm is a Scam. It's not a real company. They are only talking your money. It's sad but true. I don't know if it's just State Farm. Insurance is a scam.

Bad Faith Strategy
April 16, 2024

My 2020 Dodge Challenger was stolen in SF, CA. I went through the procedure of making the police report and call State Farm after to start a theft claim. State Farm helped out and got me started with a claim, ran through my policy, and got me a rental car. 2 days later, State Farm calls me up and says my claim has been transferred to a investigation specialist, Adrienne Roberts and discontinued paying for my rental car. Since being assigned this investigator Specialist, I've been treated like a criminal rather than a valued customer. This person asked me the same questions repeatedly implying that I was lying. She was insensitive about my hardship and caused me a tremendous amount of stress with multiple interviews, sending me a letter of a possible fraudulent claim. A third interview is to be scheduled where Adrienne Roberts said I will be under oath. Her manager is Bridgette Thomas who has allowed Adrienne Roberts to treat me like a customer without equal rights. My property in my vehicle was also stolen along with photos of my late parents and all I can think of is how State Farm with Adrienne Roberts and Bridgette Thomas is so focused of adding insult to injury by trying to dismiss my claim as fraudulent when EVERYTHING has been truthfully expressed from the beginning. Customers at State Farm are treated rudely and unfairly. This act of Adrienne Roberts is a perfect example of "Bad Faith" strategy and should be reported to The Department Of Insurance (California).

State Farm has more interest in buying sports arenas. Paying pro athletes for commercial advertising. Then paying claims. However, they will take your money to finance their investments.

State farm claims acted in bad faith and delayed delayed and gave us the run around for years after covid to have our claims processed. The tire blow out is covered under comprehensive coverage and they made all these excuses and then finally denied claim after a 7 years customer with no accidents the claims person is named abe and has no idea what he is doing or saying, This company should be held accountable for fraud and acting in bad faith to good customers, They are a scam and have a terrible track record of denying claims and the agent is worthless

I would like to share my experience working for the" good neighbor" State Farm for almost 2 years. My manager, a new manager on a power trip, was abusive to me so I complained to upper management about his mistreatment, bullying and abusive behavior towards me.
I was aggressively retaliated against. The retaliation took many forms:
- I was given a low evaluation despite my good performance. The low evaluation caused me to lose 1/2 of my year end bonus.
- The company took back my new hire payment - 8 months later
- I was put under extreme levels of stress & pressure & was held back, singled out and given the highest number of phone calls in the whole team 128calls for me versus 20 calls for their favorites. The combination of high levels of stress & pressure and the excessive number of phone calls caused me to suffer sudden, severe and permanent hearing loss.
- The company continued its retaliation, disability discrimination and harassment against me to push me out
- The company would intentionally unleash its managers to constantly call me and harass me on Teams to answer the phones despite my hearing loss.
Each time I announced I was recording them, they would end the call
- I continued to do my job and process over 100 claims per day despite the toxic and unbearable work environment they have intentionally created for me to push me out
- Finally they fired me for not being able to answer the phones
- I was paid $19.75/H
- I was over used, abused and discarded by State Farm

I had state farm insurance for 40 +years and never had a problem until now. We brought a truck in June 2023 new truck we had a 500 ductable which was no problem. In November we hit a big bird flew in front and broke out the right head light. We had two proposals from Ford which is a ford truck and both were around 1 was 2300 and other 2400 which they found more damage after they replaced it so it was a little more. So they told us we had to buy replacement parts because the 2023 were no longer new because the 2024 have came out and truck was only 5 months old. But that's wrong because it was a new truck. So they only pay about 1;000 to fix our light because they said we could go to Ohio and they would do it with off brand parts. We live in fl. You have a brand new truck and put off brand parts when the truck is only 5 months old This is very disappointing for state farm.

As my title states... unbelievable how incompetent even my local office is. I gave them one last chance after getting shuffled around by Progressive/others, and they blew. Had to split a payment because of a billing error, and it took them almost 3 agents almost 45min. Including the one who setup my policy, to figure out what was going on instead of simply applying a stupid second payment in 20 minutes flat, so I could be on my way. The setup agent acting all confused as heck. Leaving me shaking my danged head.

Do not get State Farm
December 23, 2023

Do not get State Farm, they're terrible. I have roadside assistance and had a flat tire once so I ordered a tow truck through the app. The towing company they sent crashed my car into a parking garage at the dealership and then it went down as an at fault accident and SF dropped me. I had to fight to keep my policy but I should've just let it go because now I'm currently in the middle of a claim and they literally towed my car then forgot about it for days and when I finally called them to check on it, they said it's still sitting at the towing place but they can't really do anything about it bc of the holidays. But they disregard the fact they wasted so much time and my car has just been sitting at a random towing lot. So now I'm without a car or money for a new one. I would recommend getting Geico. One time I was in an accident with someone who had Geico and I sent pictures of the damage to Geico and had the money in my bank account the next day.

They will never do anything for your car! Your agent will ignore you and write to you whenever he feels like it! For towing you'll have to wait 12 hours! They never put a supervisor when asked to speak to one. They hang up on your face! Poor communication! They don't care to give you any status of your roadside assistance! On top of that raise your monthly payments whenever they feel like it without notice! This is the most trash insurance company you'll ever get! I'm contacting the news tomorrow because I am going to warn people about this State Farm scamming insurance company. I called them for towing at 5:42 pm now they are telling me my car will get at 6am the next day

The law in many States allows the vehicle owners to choose a repair shop without interference from their current insurance company. A deer ran into my stopped vehicle and State Farm only paid about 50% of the cost of repair...My deductible was $500.00 NOT fifty percent of the repair. I have never filed a claim before...and my last ticket was 32 years ago. This is going to litigation and I will ask for all of my policy payments to be refunded due to breach of contract. Go read about all of their other thefts

Will not pay claim
September 9, 2023

This company is a scam! Every time I call and ask when I can expect payment they say they will have to cancel payment and issue new checks and you can expect receipt in 7 to 10 days. This has been going on for five months now, never seen a check and doubt one has ever been written.

And we haven't even had a claim- in fact our policy is only 6 weeks old. Our agent misrepresented multiple facts to get us to move our 7 cars, 2 trailers, and homeowners policies over. Gave us great rates. Easy peasy to add the collectors cars too. Never mind that old pesky thing like Underwriting, the agent assured us we were good to go. So we took them at their word, and canceled 4 other policies. THEN THE TRUTH COMES OUT that that agent mislead us, and submitted our policies to the Company inaccurately, leaving us uninsured and underinsured on just about everything. That expensive appraisal we submitted on the $35,000 collector car? State Farm company says they don't go by appraisals. Huh?
I had many emails and phone calls with that agency in Coon Rapids, MN to get him to correct the many mistakes- including dates of coverage and coverage amounts, and all he wanted to talk about was how many clients he has. Gave us lip service that he'd get everything all fixed, but then didn't. Then he suggested we CANCEL all of our policies. I then formally requested another agent, as we needed to get our policies fixed immediately. But it's been 10 days and our policy has not been moved to another agent. WE are still stuck with the incompetent one. Who now says he can't see our policies anymore...Which State Farm says is not true. I filed a complaint with State Farm, and what they did was have Underwriting use a microscope on our policies, which has resulted in having to submit more pictures (cause 12 per car wasn't enough), and FUN FACT- State Farm has 60 days in which Underwriting can cancel you. I have never had to wait more than a day or two for Underwritings review, and a approved policy. Needless to say, I think State Farm is the worst. Before we even file a claim! Can't imagine what a nasty deal that would be then.
