I recently visited Regus Manchester's shared office space and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Despite multiple attempts, I was unable to connect to either their WiFi or Ethernet networks, which was particularly frustrating as I've never experienced such issues at other coworking spaces like WeWork and Colony.
The connectivity problems resulted in a loss of 1.5 hours of valuable work time. The further payment of WeWork afterward to actually make some work afterward. What made the experience even more unsatisfactory was the management's unwillingness to provide a refund despite their service not meeting expectations. I won't be using Regus in the future
For those considering this location, I would just go to WeWork, which had a great atmosphere and good customer service. The barista made me good coffee and the internet was great.

A horrible experience
January 27, 2023

Where shall I start from?
Extortionate charges: 600+VAT for a spilled coffee? Yes, that is right, this is Regus for you.
Centre manager David is a bully. He makes fun of people, shouts behind your back, threatens you every 5 mins, barges in your office without knocking on your door etc etc. I have never seen him smiling, he has this presence which makes people feel uncomfortable. Being a tenant at Regus Strand is like being in the 5th grade.
Facilities? Always dirty, wc continually blocked, kitchen filthy.
Repairing a hot water machine took 2 weeks.
They vacuum the place in the middle of a work day. Imagine you need to concentrate and someone is vacuuming the corridor.
Overall extremely expensive, dirty, and rude. There are many better alternatives to Regus if you wish to rent a serviced office. Don't do it, you will only regret Regus.

I have now reported Regus to Westminster Trading Standards for misusing my credit card details and creating a deficit cycle through extortionate charges. For three months they charged me services I didn't receive. They helped themselves to my credit card - which I had to cancel to stop them from using it. They refuse to return my deposit. They continue to harass me about service charges for nothing - it was a virtual office. I have reported them to the Minister who oversees small businesses to ask for an investigation into Regus/IWG business' practices. I have now found scores of reviews on several sites that reflect my experience. I have also written to Regus' CEO to complain and have made him aware of the consumer organisations and regulatory bodies I have reported Regus to.
