Prodigy is okay but is very membership heavy. It needs memberships for most of its gameplay and constantly notifies you about memberships.

Prodigy is a fun game honestly, but the developers ruin the game with membership. Before, memberships did not get in my way as much now. For example, rewards for completing 7 days in the daily log-in, most of it are "mythical-epics" which are for members only. WE ARE LOGING IN FOR NOTHING! Secondly, they are also money hungry in game currency. Items that cost magicoin are way to expensive for non-members like me, even evolving pets. Titan armour, wands, and furniture are as expensive too and we earn way too little titan shards. I am asking the developers WHY are they so money hungry for game currency too. The game currencies and how much we earned before was better than now. Prodigy also needs better voice actors for Pippet and the Puppet Master, THEY ARE NOT CONVINCING AT ALL! Picture description: The current reward for logging in is a mythical-epic, which is an unaccessible reward for non-members, like me, and most of those rewards are mythical-epics. Next, the other pictures are how expensive the magicoin and titan shard items are. We only earn like 10 or 20 magicoin, and we rarely get it. We also only earn 1 titan shard after a battle. IT IS SO $#*!ING UNFAIR 🤬🤯😭

This math game is like a pokemon educational math game! U battle and colect creatures, and to refill your energy u half to do a math thing, and incuridges kids to do math, and makes learning awesome! :D

It is okay but you can't get anything without a membership and if you do get a membership you are so overpowered it is too easy. Not only that Old Prodigy so good you could catch pets without a membership, but the textures were so good and you couldn't even catch the old pets anymore Peeko was the cutest thing, and if you didn't play in 2017 too bad you couldn't get him anymore, the old things were just so good like the old battle meter and feeding your pets in battle to restore hp and now the puppet master (the main villain) was so cool and now he looks FAT dont the old pics look so nostalgiac, Prodigy, if your are seeing this BRING BACK OLD PRODIGY!

PAY TO WIN, DON'T BUY. This game is garbage cause you can't get anything without being a member and its not fun when you don't pay a high price.

Kinda mid. The gameplay is pretty good but overall it's not all too good. From only playing like 5 hours total you basically do all you can do, and there aren't even that many pets in the game. Not to mention you can't even get all of them with out paying a subscription. Overall, if you just want too have fun for a couple hours and you don't know what to do, then you can play this game, but don't get too attached because trust your only playing like 2 times until it's unenjoyable.

Its a light-hearted game where you fight monsters to "help" defeat the boss called "puppet master" and you can upgrade your stuff. Its quite laggy though.

This is an absolute trash game. I remember being introduced to this in 3rd grade in 2019. Membership was only for aesthetics. Now it's shoving it in your face every few minutes and after every single battle. They also changed the designs, which are hella ugly now. For example, the Neeks. They were a little scary to 8-year-old me, but they were still cute and interesting. Now the design is just a baby rolled up. Dreamlet used to be so cool with its rainbow wings and lizard-like body. Now it's a rat with wings. Not even the same animal classification. Now all the cool-looking designs are fat sprites. And how come I have to be a member to get more pets? Absolutely trash.

Everything requires membership. Getting pets and some accessories requires members. My kid get disappointed when they can't get a pet.

Many parents have reviewed this game and many younger kids, but I wanted to give a longer explanation because I am a sixth grader and have been playing this game since the pandemic, where it was required. It may not seem that long, but because of the pandemic I played it for 500+ hours in two years. There are some pretty big problems with this game, and I hope, because of my history with the game, I am qualified to share them.

I've seen some people comment on how 'oh wow this math game has a story 10/10', but if you actually look at it, it's pretty bland. Bad guy controlling all the Pokemon and you gotta stop him and save the five regions oh wow great
It's tiring, and for me, at least, I can see where it falls short in a lot of ways. The dialouge is basic, and even though it's a kid's game, I at least wish it would be better. The game tries to add suspense in a lot of ways, but it all ends up being tedious, and very in your face. "Oh wow look how far you've come, oh wow that guy is so scary we'd better beat him AAAHHHH"

This game is additionally blocked behind paywalls. When I first started playing the game, before the bad updates, at least if you weren't a member you could still play the game. Now you can actually tell the game developers are going broke because if you want to have more than 3 pets or get 5/6 of them, oh wow, membership! Additionally, when TotK was coming and BotW was on sale because of it, you could buy it and the DLC for less than the amount they charge for a membership.

But no - it's not enough that the game is locked behing a paywall that costs >$80, if you don't buy the membership, it constantly pesters for you to buy it. After a battle? BECOME A MEMBER! Looking at your map? BECOME A MEMBER! Buying clothes? BECOME A MEMBER! Literally just doing nothing? BECOME A GODDAMN MEMBER

Remember Harmony Island? One of the only creative things in Prodigy thus far? (That I spent almost a year trying to complete and 100%, mind you). No you don't.

What about items? Leveling actually doing something? Not all pets being locked? Decent gear? Good pixel art? Oh no, I must be silly. That would make this game a GOOD game.

You literally can't walk anywhere without having to fight 3 enemies. And that's if you're trying to go one or two screens over! (It is more for fire/ice worlds, btw) If you're traveling somewhere far for the main quests, or trying to get the mythical epics, it's going to take you days. It's not hard. It's not confusing. It's just grinding. And with all this, you'd think it would be easy to level, but to get to level 100, you need 26,376! Stars for your character. In big battles, the most it throws you is 20.

It's gotten to the point where the only reason I play it is because I want to have the "honor" of having a lvl 100 account and beating the game. Not because I want to play it. I don't. But my parents are still paying for membership, so I guess I have to. Don't play this. Please.

I used to love playing this game it was so exciting but now it's just so horrible. First of all the graphics suck I don't know what made them think that it was okay to make the characters look like that. Second, I hate the way they made the battles I honestly don't even know what attack I'm using anymore. And Lastly, I don't know what possessed them to add reading to the game like it just ruined the whole vibe prodigy it is supposed to be a math game and they just all together ruined it.

I love prodigy but the membership is a bunch of junk because it is everywhere you look you can't even wear clothes anymore without an ad. Plus the new thing where you have to be a certain level to wear something is the dumbest thing I have ever heard for just a MATH GAME. I worked so hard to get the puppet masters outfit just for it to say " Be at level 90 to wear'.

I might be speaking a bit from nostalgia, but Prodigy is genuinely a good game, however, the insistent pushing of the membership is very annoying, as well as the fact that essentially half the game is locked behind the membership.

I am a 5th grade student who has loved Prodigy since kindergarten and it has changed a lot but it is as lovable as always.
It actually taught me stuff unlike other math sites, It's fun, it has a story-line, you can play with friends, you can work out your problems on screen with a drawing tool and more good stuff. The game recently got a reading mode and it's alright but i just love prodigy!

To be completely honest, this game sucks. I remember in 2018-2021 this game was perfectly fine, but let's get to why it's so bad;

First off, the MEMBERSHIP. The worst thing in the game. It used to be just an add-on for people who wanted extra clothes and hair, but now everything needs a membership. Every item and thing overall requires a membership or some payment. These people are money hungry for a game that isn't even GOOD, which brings me to my second reason.

My second and last reason is how horrible they made the graphics. I don't know if it's because of the recent simplicity in logos and titles, or if it's because Prodigy developers hate their job and lives. It is probably the first reason, though. The game looks like it was designed by a fetus that just came out of the womb and is randomly typing a script to Prodigy. I know I seem as if I'm insulting Prodigy, but all of these statements are true. Please just bring back the pixels.

Prodigy is SO P2W! If you want to rescue pets, You have to buy membership. Most of feature are membersip only. DONT PLAY THIS GAME! Play something else. Not prodigy.

This website accesses kids with games and helps motivate them with math and even the health is math. Kids can be social with others and compete with others. I play it and it's very enjoyable! One thing though is that the membership blocks many things for a player.

Hi. I am the user of Alex Dragonshade from Prodigy, and I have something to say about this. It's good and bad. The new looks are very nice and well done to me. But there are 3 major issues: 1: It suffers from some lag on my laptop. But the 2nd one is most critical, and that is the battle system. You can't swap pets nor yourself in battle anymore, and you have to take turns with your team, which is bad. Also... you can't eat food to heal, and the health meters are lower than they should be, and because of this, many content (such as the "become a member" video and the wizard stats) are completely outdated! And of course, you have to be a member for even simple stuff such as wearing certain shoes, and having larger houses, which makes the game kinda unfair. You should make it so that we don't have to be members for houses, evolving, nor simple clothing, but most importantly... bring the old battle system back! The picture below isn't me, but you'll get the idea.
