I was looking for a ring for my wife's first Mother's Day. Dangling earrings or a necklace wouldn't do, as our baby daughter's grasp gets stronger each day. I needed a ring. I stealthily snuck one my wife already owned and sized it against a chart I printed off the internet. Size 6.6's were few and far between on Pigeon Heart. But there was one. A sapphire ring. The very same stone we use to describe our daughter's eyes, with the same grey-blue tones as her irises. The size and the color and the significance were all a perfect match.
