I performed the minimal assembly required (handlebar and seatpost). Since the bike was shipped folded I attempted to straighten it, this was difficult as if there was paint inside the hinge. Then I could not get the hinge lock closed because the wings were bent too close to one another to allow the latch to be fastened. I had to use a hammer to straighten the wings. Then I was able to close the latch.

I was eager to try the bike at this point and rode it for maybe 1/4 mile before the right crank arm fell off. Neither crank bolt was in place. I was assured that crank bolts are on their way, but I will have had the bike for several days before I will be able to ride it.

There was a shipping glitch when I ordered a bike on May 7. When I made a follow-up call to locate my order, Paul was very generous with his time and very honest about how and why there was a delay in shipping. I so much appreciate the personal touch and assurance that Origami Bicycle Company is a top-notch business. Paul, thank you so much - my grandson will soon be receiving his wonderful birthday bike!

This was the best conversation about bikes I've ever had. Paul was absolutely wonderful and inviting on the phone. He was both knowledgeable and patient in answering my many questions. Since my sister and I hadn't ridden for almost 30 years as children, he easily guided my purchase decisions. I ordered bike on Thursday afternoon and the bike arrived at my home Saturday morning. The magic of it all is that the bike came 99% assembled. All we did was unfold, adjust seat to proper height, and snap close thee handlebars. And Voila! My sister was riding the bike minutes later with ease after 30 years. You MUSY BUY ORIGAMI!

I ordered the Origami Hawk and it came within a week, much faster than I thought. The bike came with little assembly, just had to put in the seat and unfold it which was easy to do. The bike rides really smooth, and is very comfortable to ride. It folds and unfolds easily and feels secure when everything is locked in place. I've sent a few questions through the message portal and received a helpful response immediately, and if I sent the message late at night, I received a message first thing in the morning.

Spent $308 for a new bike that has multiple scratches all over it and the chain needed some serious adjusting before I could ride. There was a link that was too tight and then the shifting mechanism was not set up right at all so I had to spend 45 minutes getting it set right so that it wouldn't try to skip gears while I'm riding it. These are major issues for me considering I usually just buy bikes at a pawn shop but I needed something I could easily take in a semi with me. There was also no book that came with it leaving me to figure out how to assemble and unfold the bike by myself.

I feel that I should have been told the bike was not in stock when I first ordered the bike. I feel that I was not treated fairly.

Thank you. The bike is good quality and durable. Except while I am riding it feels little tight, and touching the break or something, I an not able to figure out.
