Went on the Thumbtack app. And was given the option of this company. Their prices are sky high. They demand a 3 cut minimum booking. However, on their website they say a one time is available. They take your credit card information. They sent a crew who used old equipment who left rows of grass between the cut rows. They edged and chopped away too much soil and grass. They left an 8 inch row on my front lawn uncut because it was the neighbor's property except it was on my side of his sidewalk. No neighbor is going to come and cross his sidewalk onto my side. Then customer service you can never reach. All their employees are from different countries and difficult to understand. I would spend at least over 2 hours on the phone for 4 days trying to explain to these people what had been, Then they made a decision to decide when they were coming back which was not a day I would be here to watch them. They send you emails that you are not able to respond to. They tell you to go to their app and fill out the forms and speak with their gnomes! I could have had my grass cut 10 times for all the grief I spent online with their so-called gnomes. I had to notify my bank and tell them of the fraud and close out my card. They said they would return my 60 dollars. Who knows. Each time I spoke to a gnome, as they so insult their employees and name them this. A gnome gave me a different story. I will report this to the Illinois Attorney Generals office consumer fraud division and my bank will go after them. All of this grief for a 4000 sq, lawn. Never hire this company and stay away from Thumbtack.com!
Unless you are able to watch the contractors work to ensure it is done correctly - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This company is simply a contractor hub and each service is done by a different contractor. I was using them temporarily for a property and had to sign up for 3 services. The last service was delayed for almost a month because of "rain". Contractors will send you text message for delays but for some reason they don't receive or choose not to send pictures of their work.
The guy who did my lawn did it unevenly ( shearing it down to dirt in spots and completely missing other spots. It cant just be cleaned up. I now need to replant my lawn where it hot dirt in large areas. He said he wpuld do edging but didn't do it in the three times he came. It is almost difficult to make such a mess of a nice lawn in such a short time. They should pay the customer.

After signing up, and agreeing to a three cut minimum, and letting them know access to my fence was limited to a 53 inch gate, I was assigned a "pro," and scheduled for service. After being rescheduled multiple times Oscar Bustos lawn care came out but only mowed the front indicating he couldn't access the back yard, even though they knew ahead of time what size my gate was. Why did he take the job if he didn't have the necessary equipment?
So I tried to get some sort of customer service, and after playing phone tag Megan, from customer support, acted very concerned, told me my job was important to them, and that she would get another crew out to take care of the job. In the mean time I had to mow our back yard, which was incredibly long by this time, and after multiple recent shoulder surgeries, which is why I was looking for a service in the first place. Still, Megan said I would not be charged for the first mowing, and I was then scheduled with RightWay Lawncare and Property Maintenance, 3-4 days later.
It's now been seven days with no rain or inclement weather, and RightWay Lawncare has not shown up, and our lawn has not been mowed AGAIN, and so I will have to mow it myself AGAIN.
Given Lawn Love's incredible ineptitude I will be seeking release from my three cut agreement, since they can't even do it right once. In addition to my review here, I will also be submitting a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
Was quoted 29.00 and billed 55.99. They did half of the job never did the back yard. I sent 4 text messages letting them know they did only half of the job but no one responds. Refund the money you charged.
I requested to have my lawn mowed from Lawn Love. They came and took pictures of my grass and quoted me over $160 to mow my lawn due to the long grass fee. I declined the service and did it myself. Then it scheduled me for monthly service. I cancelled the appointment on the app and it showed on the app that it was cancelled. After it was cancelled, I got an automated text and email that someone was coming to mow the lawn. I had just had a new driveway put in the day before which cost $17,000. There was caution tape over the wet concrete driveway and a construction vehicle parked on the lawn. The app did not work properly and so the service being cancelled was not properly put into their system. The worker, instead of contacting me or taking pictures and leaving, walked their mower all over the wet concrete, and around the construction vehicle leaving MASSIVE DAMAGE ON MY NEW SEVENTEEN THOUSAND DOLLAR DRIVEWAY. I put in a property damage claim which they say they will reply to, but they have not gotten back to me about it yet. When I tried to cancel the service it said I needed to have a 3 mow minimum. When I called to complain they finally cancelled the service. This was the 1st time they had mowed my lawn and caused thousands of dollars worth of damage. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING. If they do not provide adequate restitution for this claim, I will be reporting to the BBB and start taking legal action against them.
Haven't been able to get service in 4 weeks. One person rescheduled 3 times, we tried another who no showed. Had to text to ask what's up, he replied saying he no longer would service our area. Had to cancel my daughter's backyard party because he literally couldn't pay anyone that would show up. Extremely unprofessional and uncourteous.
We hired them for one service and the guy that was sent used a solid bladed weedwacker around the house resulting in damage to our brand new siding. They asked for a quote then didn't respond for a couple months before finally saying they wouldn't be helping us. Contrary to their website customer satisfaction guarantee or their claims of being bonded and insured.

After having 4 consecutive services scheduled and cancelled by the provider due to "scheduling conflicts" I've cancelled services with Lawn Love.
Cancelling is a funny term because they've never actually serviced my lawn or even shown up to my property. But they have a "3 service minimum" and they're currently at 0 services provided.

This company lies about willing to aid when property is damaged by contractors they pair you with and accepts no responsibility if your property is damaged. The area to file a claim on their website is totally bogus. They do not vet the companies they pair you with. I ran background check on crew that damaged property and criminal activity was present in background report. When asked for info to assist in filing lawsuit lawn love would not provide business address only a phone number and email which is what I had to use to find an address to file a lawsuit. The company's terms and conditions claims to aid with arbitration but do not. The company stated I should work with the company that damaged property as their clients are typically reasonable…hard to do if the crew won't respond or speak with you or admit responsibility.
They do not text to let you know when they are coming and then charge your card. They would come every 4-5 days and mow when the lawn didn't need it.
This company is so unreliable! They say they will come and then send an email" unfortunately the scheduled crew can't make it. We will reschedule " only been with them 1 month but for reference this email was sent out 3 x in a month! Very bad company. Stay clear!
Just started using them, had two cuts then they started to never pitched for the next 3. They send you messages they coming, you wait all day, you not able to mesaage their people when they change out your service providers, you query and all you get are surperficial apologies, "next cut"...that comes and no one again...and again all just apologies via email. I would not recommend this company as they have a total disconnet between their contractors and their business. They also charge you when their contractors do not arrive even after they acknowledge they failed to provide a service so you must check your CC charges with them.
This company signs you on with a world of promises and then finds excuses to cancel and reschedule your service. Well guess what the grass doesn't stop growing because the company is unable to secure a pro to do the work. On the contrary it justs keeps getting worse, like when they send a company who really doesn't care if they miss half of your lawn while mowing, then they promise to return and the next message is "I'm sorry your pro is longer going to service your property we'll start looking for another" It might be easier to buy a cow!
The crew does a great job. My lawn always looks amazing after lawn loves service. They never leave a mess for me to clean up, and the trim work is always on point. I would recommend they're services.
I went online this morning and found this company I spoke with Ms.Ines she listen and answered my questions she's very professional. She told me they would come out in 2 days but they came within 5 hours and they did a excellent job. Thanks again! This site will not let me upload a picture.

I could cut the grass with my riding mower but I am unable to weeded and edge the yard due to health issues. I was looking for lawn services that wasn't expensive and the searches online didn't really help. I found LawnLove online, which is kind-of an uber type of company. They had straight forward prices on yard cutting and the prices seem reasonable. I been very happy with the company that LawnLove has set me up with. He messages me when he is behind or having issues. (Understandable since lawn equipment can break down). He lets me know when he is going to be out to the house.
