The white parts of the print turned yellow and the front stretched out to hang lower than the back within a few wearings. The fabric over the bust stretched out over a couple of months and the underlining tore so the wrap front was saggy.
Women's Plus Size V-Neck Wrap Underwire Tankini Swimsuit Top, worn several times a week for six months
Ordered 4 tops in the usual size I get from LandsEnd. 2 blouses of same style, but different colors, fit VERY differently. The other 2 were tank tops in a medium, which I've always worn from Lands End. They were huge! They have no exchange policy but agreed to accept a return but only for merchandise credit. Despite them acknowledging the returns have been made, I'm still waiting on the merchandise credit. NEVER AGAIN! Who bought Lands End & is running it into the ground?
2 changes on this coat would make it 5 stars: a workable zipper, and snaps instead of Velcro. The blue "Weather Channel" parka would be good as it keeps you warm, has enough pockets, and a fold-up hood. Too bad the 2-way zipper takes forever to zip up, then hangs up half the time. The Velcro will not close the parka unless the zipper is used initially. It's too bad. I really wanted it to work out.
Just want to let people know that the photos online and in the catalog can be very different from the actual product. You are far better off going into a Lands End store if you want their products. The $49 necklaces are, quite frankly, junk---metal with cheap beads and nowhere near worth their prices. I made a return of several items for credit on my original form of purchase. I was charged to return the items that way. Also and exchange of items for size was charged tax again resulting in $13 of wasted money just from buying online. The return process iis now more complicated. I returned parts of my order to a Petco to be shipped back to Lands End.
I ordered 3 items from Lands End. It took almost 2 weeks for it to ship. I received it but only had 2 of the 3 items in the box delivered. I called to inquire and found that one of the items was no longer available. Not only did they not notify me of that product unavailability but they also went ahead and charged for the item It is still pending on my credit card account. I was told that the authorization would fall off but will keep a close eye on this unauthorized charge on order #******.
I've bought four pairs of tall pants, two of which were a good length, the other two were way too short. I'm pretty sure they could do a better job of quality control. I used to swear by Lands' End, but now I'm not so sure. If you're feeling lucky, I'd say try them out. On the other hand, I bought a very good-quality winter coat from them in December. No problems there. It has convenient pockets, a hood, and is very good against the wind.
Ordered 2 items same as those I've purchased before. Quality is still good but sizing much smaller than previous purchases, they're obviously saving money in manufacturing costs. No packing slip enclosed with my order. To make a return a customer has to "do it yourself" online to print return label and product information to insert in the package. I've been a Lands End customer as long as I can remember but I won't be in the future.
Never shop here. If the items you buy are low quality, do not fit, or do not in any way look like the images of the items online, do not be surprised. What is a surprise is that returns are never credited back to your card. Avoid this business and learn from my painful experience.
Bought a vest, washed it before wearing it and the seam came apart in the washing machine. Filled the machine and covered the other clothing with feathers. What a mess. Called and complained. They replaced it after I returned the defective one. The replacement vest did the same thing. Now I need to return the second vest and wait 3 weeks for a refund. I will never buy from Lands End Again. I was on hold forever trying to resolve this issue.
I have shopped at Landsend for decades. The quality, variety, and service used to be reliably high. You knew what you were getting and could count on it.
I ordered a few items recently and all I can say is, what happened to this once stellar company? First, I almost didn't purchase anything because the availability of styles and colors was so limited. Then, I received NO notifications about any of my items shipping. I had to send an inquiry to customer service a few weeks after no packages or anything, just to get an update. Isn't that e-commerce 101? And now it's been weeks and weeks and still no confirmation of my return, let alone when I'll see my money.
Landsend is a dying company. Nobody at Landsend cares anymore, that's clear.
Answer: They charged me shipping on my order. (I no longer patronize them because they charge for shipping returns, even if the product is deficient.)
Answer: Beware of Lands End's current "free" shipping scam. We get emails almost daily from Lands End offering discounts on certain items or even any item they carry and the have also been offering "free" shipping. Of course almost every online shopping site is offering free shipping right now. The difference between all other sites/sellers free shipping is that they will either give it to UPS, FedEX, or the USPS and those people make the actual delivery to your door in a few days. I'm assuming it is an effort to save money Lands End "free" ships packages via UPS BUT only to your closest major postal facility and drops all the "free" shipments there. It is then up to the USPS to sort everything and deliver the package to your home. This can result in a delay of from several days to a week or more. Our latest purchase was dropped at the sorting facility on 12/5. From there it needed to be sorted and delivered to the mail facility that handles home mail deliveries. Bottom line is that we didn't get the delivery until 12/9. That is after leaving the Lands End warehouse on! 2/2. I get shipments from LL Bean or Amazon purchases delivered in 2-3 days. The response we got after questioning Lands End was that if we want deliveries in 2-3 days we would have to pay for shipping. Considering the delivery times I get from other sellers offering free shipping, I think Lands End is misleading customer's expectations of "free" shipping. Come on Lands End, I want that big brown truck to bring my packages to my front door and want it to be REALLY free or you have lost a long time customer.
Answer: I don;t know about knit pants but I have had the Starfish for a couple of years now and they don't become baggy--just a little but they bounce right back after washing. I was very happy with mine, went to get a new pair and ended up with a pair I cannot wear. Dismayed to find that returns are too complicated (expensive, too) so will be getting out the sewing machine to make them fit (they are huge in the thigh). I think the problem lies with having ordered Tall. The old pants are just Regular. Be careful about sizing!
Answer: Several years ago i ordered 5 bridesmaid dresses from LE. I had to send two back for a different size. The replacement dresses were a slightly different shade of the color. Then had to send all 5 dtesses back to get all same color. What a mess!
