Hi all
I have just been informed that honey has been doing the fishy stuff and has been ripping in affiliate codes from creators and stopping them make money. Also companies have been paying honey to to give us coupon codes to the end user so the company makes more money and therefore honey will make more money as well because they they are getting paid by the companies to do that just letting you know I am uninstalling honey I've been lied to thank you very much.
The Honey browser extension, owned by PayPal, engages in several deceptive practices:
## Misleading Discount Practices
Honey deliberately shows smaller discounts (like 5%) while hiding better available deals (like 30%), prioritizing codes that benefit its business partners rather than providing users with the best savings[1][2].
## Commission Theft
The extension manipulates affiliate links by replacing existing cookies with its own, effectively stealing commissions from content creators and influencers who originally referred the sales[4][7]. This practice particularly affects small creators who rely on affiliate income for their revenue.
## Selective Code Display
Rather than showing all available discount codes, Honey selectively displays codes based on business partnerships, contradicting its promise to automatically find the best deals[9]. The extension's pop-ups at checkout often serve no purpose other than to claim affiliate credit[4].
This behavior has sparked significant backlash from both consumers and influencers, many of whom previously promoted the extension without knowing its true practices[2][9].
Look up on youtube honey scam. They have been stealing everyones money and users data! They are really sly about it so nobody would notice, disgusting.
Honey is a scam, just Google it and you'll find out. The extension scams users, content creators and stores online. Stay away.
Worthless
They removed all of the redeem options in the UK, without so much as a message.
The many points I earned (and which earned them money) are now worthless.
This is worse than bad, its fraudulent.
It is supposed to reward purchases with honey gold, where applicable, that you can then redeem for gift vouchers. I have made 12 purchases that have not been rewarded any honeygold and customer services are useless. Nearly 20 emails and I am getting nowhere. Worst service I've ever had.
The store policy of issuing a credit instead of refund should be communicated at all times even if it says on the receipt. I returned an item an was told it's a credit only. It's $160 sitting in a Honey bank account. This is highway robbery. I could have used that money to feed my family. Terrible
I have nearly £100 in Honey Gold and I cannot redeem it.
Emails are ignored and chat is not responded to.
Although the discounts are nice to have.
Extremely disappointed about their customer service especially when its meant to be a Paypal company!
Worked great for about a year. I saved up a substantial amount of Honey and now it does not work when I attempt to redeem it. Honey chat wont talk to me and Honey email no response. Seems like paypal just wants to keep the money for them selves.
The website is scan after collecting many gold they will not answer you by chat & even, they will ignore you even block you.
I requested more than 5 redemption e-gift once they know you are right they will block, don't believe such website.
