Quite a low quality support experience. The interfaces and I must say it is not their resume that got a job for me. I had both of my usual (rather bulky) resume, and the Jobscan targeted resumes working for me over the course of two years. I spent over $270 on subscriptions on Jobscan. Sadly I must say they aren't worth a penny. Clunky UIs, horrible support, nasty terms (they'll charge your card without any notifications, and keep the moneys when you ask for refund -- despite you haven't used their system). Low value service. Go with ChatGPT, far better!
I can no longer edit my resume to meet the 75% match rate. Subsequent edits of my resume vs job description give the error "You have already saved this job". Hence I can no longer effect any further edits nor see any improvement
This is an excellent tool! I ran my resume through Jobscan and my first rating was a 37% which would not have been selected by an Applicant Tracking System. After following the suggestions provided in Jobscan my resume was up to an 87%!
Processed payment without notifying me about it in advance - there's a best practice of notifying your customers (especially those who doesn't use your service that much) that payment will be processed tomorrow, I'm really disappointed by taking payment for 3 months (!) without notification in advance.
I subscribed to Jobscan 4 days ago and the system is not working properly on my side. I sent several emails requesting support, and their solutions did not work. The support team no longer sends emails, and I cannot communicate with Jobscan.
Problem - No matter which resumes I request in the ATS scan, Jobscan always refers the analysis of an old resume already deleted from the system.
The experience was a positive one. The tool was easy to use and it helped me get the resume as close as possible to the job posting, well almost, I got to within 78% of a match, and I could have kept going if I wanted to.
It's a clunky first shot at doing something to help job seekers. There is so much automation it could do to make job seeking much easier. Hopefully it will head that way and make the tool worth the price.
They debit your account even after you email them to cancel. I would not recommend jobscan as there is no online facility to cancel the subscription neither do they cancell all charges even after an email confirmation.
I used your scan tool for several times and revised my resume to be aligned with various job descriptions. I was satisfied until I checked them in your new Power Edit feature and found them with very low rate match with relevant job descriptions. Which one is correct? You current scan tool or your new Power Edit? I lost my trust on Jobscan, and I haven't received single feedback or interview since 2 weeks agon I started to use it.
In the new Power Edit, I found cover letter creator useful.
It's nice to be able to scan and edit your resume to fit the job description for ATS...however, the resume scan doesn't always get your whole resume, and when you go to click on power edit it's a crap shoot on whether it makes it to edit or not. Also, doesn't make any sense to edit your resume in power edit because the format gets all wrecked if you try to download an use.
Answer: Hi Tanisha! Jobscan recommends at least 80% for ATS to make your resume visible to the hiring manager. To boost your match rate, take a look at the missing skill and keywords (the ones denoted as red X) and see which ones are relevant to include in your resume. Focusing on including missing keywords that appear more frequently in the Hard Skills section will quickly boost your match rate. Here's a video tutorial that helps with getting your rate up - https://www.jobscan.co/video-resume-match-report. I hope this helps. Please reach out to support@jobscan.co if you have questions as you go along. Thanks!
