For one, it is hard to find good counselors in your area and two it is even harder to find someone you connect with. Good therapy has several sections that try to help the consumer / client look for someone that note only you can connect with but you can go to close by. Therapy should be done face to face and covid has created distance between us socially, physically, and emotionally. If you are struggling and need to reach out for help-- Good therapy has a way to find someone in your area and that you can connect with it.
Online therapy does not work and will not be enough for most people. It is a money maker for those that are running it and it is charging more to those people that are hurting than helping. I know it is not easy to take those first steps but I assure you once you establish that connection- It is for good reason and healing journey that will give you hope and and joy!
