I was doing some headhunting on Upwork when I came across Freeeup and decided to join. I was surprised at how easy it was to find a quality programmer since they do the headhunting for you and just send you people who are ready to go and meet your criteria.
Their freelancer marketplace is what I would recommend to people other than Upwork or anywhere else.
Freeeup takes care of their freelancers. They have an internal support team that you can turn to 24/7. They keep things simple and easy from job application, to negotiation of rates, to tracking your clients/pay, to getting paid. They have nice clients and plenty of long term projects as well.

I've been a working, professional, freelance copywriter for over 20 years and have an extensive portfolio. I'm sorry to report that in the three months I've been registered with FreeUp, I have not received what I would regard as a single legitimate client referral. The 'clients' have all been either flakes or no-shows. ALL. OF. THEM. I'm beginning to wonder if this is a fake-it-til-you-make-it startup. Maybe another Theranos.
FreeeUp is absolutely the best freelancer marketplace that exists. I used many different marketplaces for my freelance business, (I'm graphic designer, btw) but neither one can not compare with FreeeUp.
They really accept just 5 star freelancers and the FreeeUp team are really a 5 star professionals. They are very caring and always there for a support.

Freeeup.com is absolutely changing the game when it comes to freelancer marketplaces online.
