"Your virus software thinks everything on our website is a virus. Don't worry though because that's just a false alarm. We promise we aren't a Russian hacking group that wants to turn your computer into a DDOS zombie. We aren't trying to extort your grandmother for money. After install and entering your address and phone number, your girlfriend may appear to be more distant. This is a natural side effect of women's liberation. Don't think about it. Enjoy your egg sandwich.
As always, these kind of sites should be illegal. In fact, Nintendo should sue these kind of sites. As always, you have to go through a lot of ads and passwords. Not only that, but sometimes it could give your computer a virus if you stay on too long. And it's hard to get the newer ROMs. That's about it.
This website give a you a rom for your emulator
This website never give me i virus.
I had download many rom at coolrom
I never get viruses.
But you need a downloader app for make your download speed faster then your browser.
I despise the site a year ago when i was downloading games i noticed they had 0 bytes wtf then another year back ads then screw this im done with this site also im glad nintendo forced them to delete all nintendo games
This site has decided to give it's users some suspicious downloaders every time you click no the download link. Granted, the alternative download links are okay, it's just infuriating that they decided to earn themselves money by scamming users into a downloader that installs malicious programs. Sites like Emuparadise.me are much more safer.
I used to trust this site. It used to be my go to. Not after finding that what I downloaded months ago was a Trojan waiting for instructions.
After reading some of the reviews here I'm glad I did a full malware scan when I did. I just wish it'd been sooner. The regular quick scan my av automatically runs in the background apparently, for whatever misguided reason, doesn't include the user/[username]/downloads folders, so for those of you using Windows Defender*, do yourselves a favor and manually scan those folders on a regular basis.
*the standard av included with windows. I know, I know: I probably shouldn't trust a Microcrap product with something so important but my dad seems to think it's the best freeware av. I'm gonna look for something better after this though...
Gotta love playing the old school games! Bring back memories just thinking about tempest 2000. My big fear about sites like this is that while they do probably have some great emulators, how do I know I am also not downloading a virus? Scares the crap outta me downloading from random sites. There are ways to scan for viruses but I'm not sure they always pick up embedded ones especially if you install them on your PC. Maybe do it on an old laptop if you go this route.
I loved this place, then the installer came around and ruined everything with Trojans. But it doesn't matter any more because it was discovered by Nintendo and most roms have been removed.
I used to go to this site all the time for any games I wanted to play, never got any viruses back then. That all changed when they introduced this "CoolROM downloader". The other day I decided to download a game for the first time in years, didn't really think much of the downloader at first, I made sure to uncheck any of the offers they gave me and what do you know? I still end up with the most annoying adware I've ever encountered in all my years. An absolute pain to deal with, and I find it inexcusable to have your downloader giving many people malware.
It's best to stay away from this site these days. I repeat: Stay away!
WHY! THE COOLROM INSTALLER?! It gives your PC/Mac/Ubuntu/Android Computer Malware! And WHY?! NO! I WANTED HARVEST MOON DS! MY FAV IN THE HARVEST MOON SERIES! Now. All of the Nintendo games Are Removed Due To COPYRIGHT! > :O Go Sh&^@(^*t Yourself Coolrom!
