ConsumerLab saves me so much time! I appreciate being able to read a concise summary of current research and/or quickly scan tables of various options. Their independent staff means I get unbiased information. I use this site frequently as a personal health education tool to help me make evidence-based decisions. The site is worth every penny.
While there are numerous postings about what you cover, most don't come anywhere near the detail information needed to make an intelligent choice. Who knew chocolate had lead and cadmium (I switched to a much lower level). Vitamins that don't contain what they claim -- water purification filters that actually add micro plastics to the water. These are just a small % of the articles that have directly affected me.
I've been a subscriber for years, and feel my subscription has saved me money overall and helped me avoid potential dangers. Along with the testing results, I really appreciate the research overviews.
I have several chronic health conditions that have not been successfully treated by mainstream medicine. I've had to turn to supplements for relief, but I have difficulty accessing MDs with expertise in this area. ConsumerLab helps me evaluate the supplements worth trying, along with contraindications and potential interactions and side effects.
As a simple example, ConsumerLab mentioned a small study of Potassium Citrate to treat Restless Legs Syndrome. I tried the study protocol, after checking with a doctor, and this has given me relief from an agonizing condition I've had for about 50 years. The standard medication had only made the RLS worse. I'm so grateful for the study information!
I can't describe how much I love this site. With all the "information" on the internet that is based on nothing an informed person needs to be able to look at research results. Third party impartial testing is needed on vitamins, minerals, and herbal supplements. Invaluable information on this site.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We completely agree—having access to independent, research-backed information is more important than ever. We’re honored to provide unbiased testing and insights to help you make informed health decisions. Your support means the world to us!
I have been a member of ConsumerLab for more than several years now. They are my go-to, trusted source of information on so many items. They are an incredibly reliable and honest company. Their articles are detailed and thorough. And I respect the fact that they are not intimidated by anyone to alter their information for any political or other reason.
I also appreciate the fact that they will update an article or eview as needed.
ConsumerLab is one of very few companies that are worthy of maintaining a subscription to.
Thank you. We are glad to know that our information is helpful to you and that your appreciate our scientific integrity.
My wife has had cancer and to prevent recurrence we want to take the best supplements for quality and purity that we can get, but without overpaying for them. ConsumerLab.com is our go to resource to identify which product brands best meet our needs.
I look forward to Consumer Labs each month. I also check each prescription I get from the Veterans to see the specs.I also check supplements. Consumer Labs tells it like it is, good or bad. Everyone should their meds to see what what they are, to see if they contain what is on the label. To me, the cost is minimal
I belong to ConsumerLab.com as well as & EWG and use them to get information on products before I buy them.
However, I have found that products I am looking for information on have not been reviewed.
In regard to EWG, I do submit the products for review when I find them.
I have also submitted products for review to ConsumerLab.com.
Unfortunately Membership has gone up with ConsumerLab.com & being on a fixed income, I may not renew this year.
I use a lot of supplements. Therefore, I let consumer lab do most of the research for me. They give a lot of good detailed information on products I use. I really like their detailed testing process.
Thank you for your support! We're so glad to hear that ConsumerLab helps make your supplement research easier. Providing detailed, independent testing is our top priority, and it’s great to know you find it valuable. We appreciate you being a part of our community!
The news letter and it's information are great ways to educate about products, effectiveness and safety

Answer: There is no single best supplement or brand. It's best to focus on the type of supplement you are looking for, e.g., multivitamin, fish oil, probiotic, herbal) and read our Product Review for that specific category and see which product is our Top Pick for that category.
