Just wanting to drop off some items at our trailer parked there for the summer, we where charged $12., three times and were less than 30 minutes each time. My wife complained about this ripoff prince and the woman behind the desk said to leave and do not come back. She was very rude and that is bad P. R.

Not Great
September 21, 2022

We stayed at this campsite a couple of times Summer 2022. The staff are beyond rude. The seasonal campers we met had nothing good to say about the owners and staff. The pool is dirty and slimy. The campsite is way overpacked. It looks like they are trying to pack it to make a buck. Golf carts everywhere. Kids running around. If you ae there for a quick visit it is fine but there is more going on there than the eye can see. Creepy.

I am a bit shocked to see a couple of negative reviews on this site about Cedar Shade, but reading them I can see the people are not seasonal campers or well experienced with this facility.

We have spent two full summers at Cedar Shade and were there for the Derecho storm in 2022, and we have nothing but positive energy to share about the campground.

We have a good site and a nice trailer. Our seasonal neighbours are friendly and we all help one another. We share firewood and dinners, and the more experienced campers help the rookies with repairs and maintenance.

As a campground with 575 sites, it is necessary for the family of owners to establish rules and guidelines that encourage peace and pleasure for a wide range of people. We have babies there, and seniors on oxygen, so when you hear about rules and regulations at Cedar Shade just understand that the place can't be governed by anarchy, as it has to meet diversified needs.

We feel we get very good value from our annual fee. We have not experienced any problems with other campers partying too much or being loud. Everyone within earshot of our site is respectful, and that would include at least 80 sites.

I would encourage anyone to give Cedar Shade a try and make up your own mind before succumbing to the opinions of a couple of unhappy customers. There is no question that Cedar Shade is imperfect as we all are. As a small business owner who cares very much about my own customers and their instruments (I repair guitars), it would be wrong of me to say everyone is happy with the way I run my business, but just as I can claim a 99% success rate, I feel Cedar Shade could likely do the same.
