Went to start and ignition locked up. Called and reported claim to Car Shield and handled smoothly through my local mechanic. No problems and car is back in use thanks to my repair shop getting vehicle in quick and repair completed. Thank you for Car Shields quick response with repair shop.
Overall I am happy because I saved $7367 on a transmission plus Car Shield paid for a car rental for 10 days. Around $460 for the 10 day rental. I loved that. However, I had to pay approximately $1,300 out of my pocket because Car Shield wouldn't cover the dealership labor hours to remove and replace the transmission. That I am unhappy about. Other than that my experience with Car Shield has been wonderful. I have used them on one other repair and it was exactly as advertised. I paid $100 and Car Shield covered the balance, Very happy.

My recent experience with Car Shield was one of comfort and convenience. When my check engine light came on,my anxiety went through the roof because my first thought is always,"How much is this going to cost me?" I was so grateful that the repairs were covered under my warranty! Everyone needs such assurance.

I've had several conversations with people at Car Shield in the past few days and I have been very stressed out! I re-read my book to make sure that heater repair was covered and it was just crazy to me that myself and my mechanic were getting a big run around. Finally the last phone call I made apparently made the difference and the repair is being done

Took a couple of days but figured it out. Could never speak with same person twice so had to go over situation each call. To have the same agent for entire claim would be beneficial. Companies don't seem terribly enthused to use but eventually come around. Work got done. Direct payment to garage doing the work and with no hassle. Not perfect but more confusing than difficult. I'm completely happy!

Not happy with this company! They are refusing to pay the mechanic. Premium customer service is a joke. They're saying the rates of shop is not in their price range. Very disappointed. Will not recommend them to anyone! False promises and low expectations of how they actually speak to us over the phone. Very rude! Misleading and not trustworthy.

I did not attempt to get a rental because I had limited funds. I didn't realize that it would take 4 days to complete my repairs. Luckily I had a friend from church who let me use their extra car for transportation.
Overall it was a good experience.

I have had Carshield for 3 years,I just put in a claim for $5500 and was denied, our transmission would not go into reverse. What the hell is the problem, not as advertised. Everyone I can talk to will know of this sham.

Answer: Car Shield only SELLS the policies. American Auto Warranty is the company that administers is the warranty. BBB grades them an 'F' rating & I agree.
Answer: You have to wait 20 days and 250 miles. And if they think you already know there is a problem they want cover it.
