I was forced to sign up for this service because some clients were using it and unable to figure out other cloud storage-sharing methods.
I had canceled the account, and they billed me $540 with author renewal 2 years in a row even when I canceled the account.
Biggest cloud storage scam.
The information on their website is deceptive in the amount that you will be charged for an account. They advertise $14.00 a month, billed annually, for a business account, but that is deceptive because it is not $14.00 it is actually $42.00 a month. You cannot buy one license for $14.00 a month, you have to buy three licenses for $42.00 a month. This is a deceptive trade practice.
Why isn't it a law that companies have to notify someone of an impending auto-renewal? Some do it, and some do not, but it's just a bit underhanded to not remind someone who never bothered to uncheck an auto-renewal box that they're about to get charged for something they might not even be using anymore. When I was charged (surprise!), I immediately asked for a refund because I had no intention of continuing to use their cloud service and they responded with verbiage from their TOS. Great. Thanks, guys.
I accidently signed up for this thinking it was another site. I did not realize I had changed sites. When I realized it was the wrong site, I immediately contacted them to say I singed up in error. I asked them if they would close the account and refund my money. I had not singed on or used this service in any way. I was notified that they would not refunded my $120.00 and I would be held to my contract. I understand that it is a contract and that I made a mistake. I feel a good company would look at the fact that the services were never used and refund the money. I do not want this service and I need my money back. Be very careful working with this company! You may regret it. I know I do.
So I'll just explain (non-verbatim) and give a brief afterthought. It went like this:
Jenny Bueno (Box Customer Success): Good morning, may I please speak with Jeremy?
Jeremy: "This is he".
Jenny Bueno (Box Customer Success): Good, I'm glad I was able to reach you. Is now a good time to go over your invoice?
Jeremy: Sure.
Bridget: Ok, I'm calling to see if it's possible we can update your credit card.
Jeremy: ok
(She stops recording voice to get all my payment details)
(Payment details are given)
(Starts monitoring conversation again)
So it went on like this, and it seemed as if she knew what I was about to ask before I asked it, for EVERYTHING. Very sweet and polite with excellent communication skills. Probably one of the tougher things that needed attention and the phone call was about as painless as you could get.
I highly recommend Box.com and thanks for reading
I had uploaded at Box.com app, as I try to spread my online sales on various apps. I had my booth up for over a year. Not a single sale via my booth. So I decided to delete this app from my iPhone, as I like to concentrate on apps where I'm successful. It might work for you. However, it wasn't a good fit for me.
This will probably be upgraded to 5 stars once I get the hang of it. I am coming from dropbox and I pay 99 per year for 100GB. Box will give me 200GB for the same price... and 1000GB for just a little bit more. You know what dropbox wants for their business 1000GB, $795 per year. I can get that from Box.com for only $45/month. This is a no brainer and unless dropbox decreases their prices by the end of my subscription I am moving over to Box.com. Nobody should be considering Dropbox anymore.
They're going to tell you that your storage is full, whether it is or not. You can literally have 5 music files in your folder, and they're going to tell you that you've used 99Gb of your 100Gb.
It would be laughable, if it weren't so sad. And there is *NO* support. You can't email anyone there to discuss your issues; you only have the option of asking questions in a Community Forum, where everyone is just as lost and unhappy as you are.
Box.com is a ripoff. Period.
I signed up for a full year by mistake when I meant to sign up for the $ 15/month option. I expected to see a click-on box on the next page to indicate my choice. BUT the next page thanked me for subscribing for a full year at $ 540.00. I misread the signup page. I immediately tried to contact someone to help me correct my error. Instead of help, I received a quotation from the terms of service and a refusal to make any refund. My request for refund was within minutes after my mistake. Obviously I never used the service and derived no benefit from it. This is a sleezy, bad faith business practice to take advantage of my innocent mistake and keep my $ 540. Despite the fancy language of the TOS, this is maneuver is properly known as a ripoff
I had a "individual" account. Was trying to upgrade it to a different tier that stated a cost Of $60.00. I am the only user. I missed seeing the much smaller print on the site which stated a three user minimum. I guess my 70 year eyes are not as good they used to me. I put in my credit card and it went through. AFTER it went through, it displayed a confirmation charge of $180. (those 3 users). I immediately tried calling them, tried chatting with them, but couldn't get through the correct number. I sent them an email to their billing dept which was the only email address I could find. They responded without directly stating if they would refund the money. I am still waiting for a response. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. THERE ARE OTHER ALTERNATIVES. I PLAN TO WITE AS MANY NEGATIVE REVIEWS ABOUT BOX.COM I CAN SO OTHERS WILL NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE.
Answer: Easy, but the highest-paid tier gets 99% SLA ticket Sucess turnout, 24/7 I believe.
Box has a rating of 2.1 stars from 11 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Box ranks 69th among Online Storage sites.
