I have been a member for years. My website has been down all week. It is paid for so this is not right. And they will not reply to any of my emails about this. What can we do about this?
What's the situation on BetterPhoto website?
It's been down almost a week.
Server issues are nothing new over the years.
View Bug works great though.
At one time this was a good site for hosting a photo website. No longer. I'm unable to update my bio photo and text. The text that I enter correctly shows up run together on my website. I don't dare try to edit my selection of photos. It's almost impossible to find contact information. They do respond to an email (always during the night, so I suppose they are half way around the world) and say they'll send the issue on to their tech team. They're just kidding, although not kidding when they want your money. Stay away.
After 10+ years of having BetterPhoto for my professional photography studio's website I can't imaging not using BP.
I have taken several courses from multiple instructors that took my portraits to the next level.
In the past, BP has offered a buy one year, get one free! This is BIG! There's no other website host that offers all the options at such a great price.
I constantly receive compliments on the ease of navigation from my clients which is a huge benefit when online proofing.
You won't find a better website host with better support than BetterPhoto.

I've been a member of betterphoto.com for at least 10 years. They host my website and have done a wonderful job. They are going through an enhancement of their site at the moment and I know when it is complete it will be great. I would not be the photographer I am without Betterphoto.com. Can't say enough good things.

Ordered a Silver Subscription from BetterPhoto which included a website and Got Nothing. No website, no gallery - Nothing. Paid $169 and all I got was a headache. They did make promises but again didn't get anything. They did ask for more money for a classic gallery which is included in the price I paid - it says online that the Silver includes the Bronze plus more including an optional website that I paid for. It's been two weeks since I ordered and the promise online says two days. A second promise went unfulfilled as well. Buyer beware. I think this site was once very good and it has gone downhill and lots of people have left and have complained on other sites.
I've been with BP since the early 2000's, made lots of friends, learned (from the friends, and Jim Miotke) many photo things. The classes have always been fun, interactive, and full of learning activities. It's been a bit slow the last couple weeks, but, that's because Jim is working hard getting the site more easily accessible, and faster responding. I'm paid up thru 2026, and, unless I die before then, plan on sticking with them.

For several reasons over the years ihave contacted them and it is really hard for o get a hold of them. Now I wish to cancel my account and get a refund but they will not answer me at all. Don't waste your money here..
I joined BetterPhoto to have a website to display my work, not interested in courses or contests. A few months ago he began to create an updated website and since that time it has been terrible, one problem after another. Unfortunately I have a lot of work posted on this website and it is going to be a major hassle to start a new website. Stay away from BetterPhoto for creating a website, there are many good alternatives. I am working with one of these alternatives and they are very helpful, it is just going to take me a long time to switch.
I've been a BetterPhoto member for at least 15 years. It's a website where the more you're involved such as discussions or commenting on other people photos, the more you get out of it. Jim Miotke, the owner, is always asking for feedback to improve the experience. This website was recently upgraded to handle concerns from BP Members. When I've emailed BP Support with an issue it was resolved within 24 hours. I started out as a beginner and am now an advanced amateur. Much of my improvement came from BP Classes and other experiences on this website. Currently, with very little time for photography due to a heavy work schedule, I still enter the monthly contest. This experience alone is worthwhile because you can be your own critic in deciding what to enter; and, with the opportunity to obtain different levels of badges, there is professional feedback as well. I think BP is worthwhile for a beginner to a pro, for websites, feedback, and networking with other photographers.

Answer: Thanks for asking, Donna. No, we do not have a way to upload directly from Lightroom in one click, if that's what you mean. Users first export favorite images and then upload these files. Thanks again!

Answer: We are a small team offering the most affordable products we can. That makes it so that we can only offer email support. We have had our problems in the past (what business doesn't) but we strive to respond to all emails promptly and help you in every way we can.
Answer: Hi Lou, as I mentioned in your other complaint to the BBB... We have responded to every one of your emails, and we have also proactively sent you more emails notifying you of your expiration and telling you how to renew. My theory is that your AOL email is filtering out emails from us, perhaps putting them in a junk mail folder. You can either change this setting or use a different email service like Gmail. As mentioned before, we are a small company and do not provide phone support. Please send me an email at bpsupport@betterphoto.com once you have either made sure emails from us do not get filtered as spam, or you have set up a better email account. Here is a page we have provided customers about how to "whitelist" their email address so emails from us actually get received: http://www.betterphoto.com/how-to-whitelist-emails.asp BTW, what you renewed recently was your Classic Gallery ($49/yr), not your website. Your Classic Gallery renewal order was received and duly processed. The expiration date was updated to 2/19/2018. The product that you are complaining about, your Deluxe Website ($129/yr), on the other hand, was last renewed on 2/11/16 and expired after one year on 2/12/2017. Once you have corrected your email receiving and emailed us, I will send you a special link to cover the difference between your recent Classic Gallery renewal and the cost of your Website renewal. Answer: Hi Gus, You emailed us on May 18th, and we responded within 24 hours. Today you emailed twice saying that you've emailed several times before. We have only received that one email on May 18th. Please check your spam folder and look up how to whitelist emails from BetterPhoto.
