my newly hired attorney has a 6.5 avvo rating. How bad is this or is it bad?

It's BAD! Don't trust AVVO! A lot of attys put 5 STAR reviews about themselves and will have the 1 star reviews removed. BEWARE of your atty if s/ he has a 6.5 or has a lot of 5 STAR reviews and still not a high score

It's meaningless. Avvo posts attorney profiles without their consent and assigns an arbitrary low initial rating that can only be raised by joining their program and soliciting positive reviews. I was listed and given a "6.5" as well (based on zero reviews they claim its "an algorithm like google"). I made them take down the profile.
