Deceitful brand
November 12, 2021

My friend told me about this site on the 30th of October which frankly I have never heard of before) which was doing a discount of £10 for a pair of boots.
As a student with a 1yr old baby it was a good deal for me as it is approaching winter and I have not been able to stock up on winter coats and boots due to limited funds.
So I went ahead while she was on the phone with me to make an order. I got to the part where they said I had to sign up to get the discount and I was a bit skeptical at first because why the hassle? But my friend assured me they probably just needed my email so I don't use the same email again to get another discounted boots. So I obliged and filled in my details and paid.
I got no email confirmation of order till after the boots came days after which was weird for an online shop because order confirmation is usually gotten immediately after purchase. I got the boots days after which looked okay although I haven't worn them yet.
Then today I checked my account and saw they had deducted £39 from it. I'm very confused being that I shopped just once with them and haven't gone on their website to get any more item. Also my friend hadn't told me about any deductions that will be made after purchase. I looked for any email indicating this and saw the bulk of their mails in my spam.
The whole paid membership thing is written in very small print way under the emails which I can see from the reviews here a lot of us missed. It is intentionally and fraudulently written way under because they want people to miss it. I don't even know when I signed up for vip.
I was just trying to get affordable boots and now a whole £39 has been removed from my account for no apparent reason.
I felt like crying today out of frustration. I do part time waitressing together my school work and have to wake up at 5am for it and then someone is collecting almost £40 from my account for no reason. My hard ended money!
Money I'll use to feed myself and my baby for almost a month.
This is unfair and I don't even know where to start crying. I had budgeted this money for feeding expenses.
I don't know why this site will assume I would have £39 to throw away on VIP membership?.
I have tried contacting them via phone but it hardly goes through. I would like a full refund and cancellation.
I have shopped on I saw it first, asos and others online clothing shops and I have never come across an online clothing brand so deceitful.
I need a refund pls! This was a one time purchase. I have no intention of shopping there again so keep your VIP.
A full refund! Please I'm struggling enough as it is, don't add to my anxiety

Watch OUT! SCAM you out of £35 a month!
July 9, 2020

I signed up to the VIP programme 4 years ago and i was very good at 'SKIPPING THE MONTH' so I wouldn't have to pay £35 to the company if I didn't have something specific i wanted to purchase. However, a few times I did forget to 'SKIP THE MONTH' and my Bank account was debited £35 each time and my VIP program on this site was credited with 'shopping credits' - one credit = £35. It has been over a year since I shopped from this site, so I decided to cancel the scheme. Here's what I have learned that you should ALL be aware of:
1. None of the items being sold on this website are actually worth the price tag - not on the VIP scheme or otherwise. The quality is A OK but you can get far more for your ££ if you shop elsewhere. And i'm talking ANYWHERE else.
2. When there is a sale on the website - guess what - you CAN'T use your shopping credits to pay for the sale prices - oh NO, you can get sale prices if you spend more money with them! (INSANE!) So, example scenario: you forget to skip the month, they take £35 from you and they say 'you can use this as a shopping credit' but then if there is a sale - a pair of shoes for £20 - but if you decide to use your credit (ie. YOUR £35 they already took from your account) you MUST PAY FULL PRICE £49 - stupid or WHAT? I mean they have your money and THEY ARE DICTATING HOW YOU CAN SPEND IT? Ridiculous! SCAM!
Upon cancelling the VIP scheme with them i had in my account 4 credits - i. E. £140. I had been browsing for ages and nothing was appealing to me on this website - it had been over a year since I had purchased anything at all and to be honest I just wanted to be done with the whole bother of having to constantly remind myself to 'skip the month' on a website which had NOTHING appealing to me - with terrible consequences if I ever forgot to skip the month (ie. Loosing £35 of my money and gaining a vip credit). So i called them up and said i want to end the VIP programme and i had been with them for so long and I just wanted my money back as they haven't got anything that interests me on this website. The lady on the other side of the phone proceeded to say she is only authorized to refund me one credit (i. E. £35) but I can still use the remaining 3 credits (£105 of my money) to shop any time as they are unlimited and will never expire - but I will no longer be on a the VIP programme. This is what she failed to mention: when you are not on the VIP programme on this site you are not entitled to free shipping and guess what else? For something that they would normally sell on the website for say £29 they would be selling for £59 because you are no longer a VIP! I thought they were over priced ANYWAY and now they are selling merchandise (which isn't appealing to me) so heavily overpriced! So I called up again and said that this is insane - they have 3 of my credits still and now they expect me to pay even more for goods i thought were overpriced anyway - and isn't this illegal? How can you suddenly charge 200% more for a product you were already selling at ridiculous prices?
I kicked up a massive fuss and absolutely was not accepting this ridiculous turn of events and they hung up on me 4 times (or i miraculously got disconnected!) I called back 4/5 times and eventually was told that i will be getting a full refund.
Please please please be aware this is a scam and I wouldn't recommend this website or it's goods.
If by chance you do like something it's always out of stock and if you write up to them and say you would like that style back - they do not respond until months later saying it will never come back sorry!
ALSO! Last and not least - the way the lure you in is by advertising a £20 pair of really pretty ankle boots and say that if you are on the VIP scheme you can get them for £9 - guess what - when you sign up those boots aren't even on the site and if they are they are selling them for £35 down from £58 - advertising that it's a special for VIP members only. Its all a waste of time and money and I would advise against it - avoid avoid avoid this website - it's a scam!

JUSTFAB
March 27, 2020

JUSTFAB is a company that ethically has little genuine respect or regard to it's customers. Their online team pays great diligence to online commenting to moderate the hate they receive and respond promptly to any comments giving the illusion they are a company who cares. To be brutally honest the only thing they seem to care about it maintaining the illusion of a trustworthy company that is actually a borderline scam. Although operating completley legitimatley and well within retail trading laws I STRONGLY ADVISE new customers meticulously read the terms and conditions as this is where you will be caught out. Essentially by entering your details and simply accepting the previously mentioned terms and conditions you have subjected yourself to a monthly subscription where you will AUTOMATICALLY be debited £35 every month. This £35 is then placed into your JUSTFAB account where you can only use it for purchases on the JUSTFAB website. You are able to cancel each months direct debit if you contact them within the first 5 days of that month, but if you cancel the direct debit and close your account you lose the entirety of your accounts value. This is an option the that should be clearly stated NOT hidden in the small print. The company would have a great amount of happy customers if this were the case. There is a plentiful market for people who want these forms of subscriptions, but to be so neglectful of the customers who do not is a poor and neiching marketing tactic that's costs JUSTFAB a great deal of customers than they could potentially gain via honest trading.

I hope this review is read by the team at JUSTFAB. I sincerely hope the years of bad reviews and aggressive/frustrated customers might eventually lead to a positive change within JUSTFAB.

Regards,
T

Avoid at all costs
July 11, 2018

Please do not buy from this company they are complete con artists. It has been an ordeal from start to finish.

I purchased a dress in May that never turned up. I had to wait weeks for a refund as they could give no explanation and neither could Hermes. I eventually got the refund after numerous calls and emails to them.

Just when I thought I had seen the back of this company, I received an email from them saying my
First credit of £35 had gone into my Just Fab account! Totally baffled I logged onto my bank account and saw that £35 had been taken by them via Paypal!

When I purchased the dress, I had signed up to the VIP membership to get the discount that they portray as standard. It turns out that when you sign up to this membership, it means they will then take £35 from you each month and they credit it to your account so you have to spend with them each month (penny has just dropped how they can give such significant discount). They do not make this obvious at all when signing up and do not fully disclose it. (Yes I know read the small print but no other online store conducts themselves like these jokers)

I called them and I was advised that I couldnt have a refund of £35 and that I would need to spend my credit. I got the woman I spoke to to close my account there and then (received email below 11th June) and I was assured that no further payments would be taken from me. I then spent the credit on a bag and shoes (they werent keeping my hard earned cash) and paid a small balance of £5 using my credit card (details of which they stored without my consent, see further saga below). I made sure I cancelled my Paypal details originally used with them to be on the safe side...

Bag and shoes arrived and I thought nothing further of it until. I got an email last week saying my credit had gone into my Just Fab account! And they had charged £35 to my CREDIT CARD that they had stored without my knowledge because they clearly couldnt take the money from my Paypal account which were details I had previously provided when making the first purchase of the dress.

I called them following their email and apparently it was my fault because by buying the bag and shoes I had apparently REOPENED the VIP membership and I should have checked out as a guest! Despite them telling me in my first phone call to them that the account was fully closed and that I would need to spend my credit as I couldnt have a refund! I never received a further email saying the account had been reopened and I was absolutely not informed about this on the phone, no wonder she encouraged me there and then to spend the credit after she had closed the account!

I am now waiting for a refund from them so back to where i started!

Please read everything before you sign up because even if they were to do this to 1000 individuals like me, thats £35,000 in their pocket that they can justify not refunding...

The Worst Online Shopping Experience Ever
November 10, 2017

Do not shop on this website. First of all I saw an advert on my Facebook, thinking this was pretty reliable as it was on a very reliable site. However I was wrong. The first time I visited the site there was an offer, sign up to our VIP membership and get your first pair of shoes for £9. At first I thought this was a pretty good deal, I ordered my boots and waited for them to arrive, as I live in an apartment building the post room/reception desk takes all parcels and signs for them. They send an email when the package has arrived. 5 days after I placed my order just fab emailed me to say that my order had successfully been delivered, however no email from the reception desk. I went down there for them to confirm nothing had been delivered or signed for. I waited a couple of days to see if they had been lost in processing however they never turned up. I emailed the support and the only positive comment I have is yes I got my money back in the end.

However, this morning the 8th of November I logged in to check my bank account as I am a student living on a budget to find out that my account was looking suspiciously without any money. I check my transactions and saw that Just Fab had debited my account for £35 pounds, I had no idea why. I logged on to review pages to see that the VIP membership is COMPLETELY miss leading, they charge £35 a month for them to send you a few 'fashion choices' and to buy a pair shoes which I did not because I did not want to be involved with this website any longer.

I had to ring the helpline as they charged me minutely to be on the phone to them, they kept me on the phone for 20 minutes saying how my account didn't exist while I heard over the phone no evidence of them searching me in the system (no typing). Finally after 20 minutes on the phone and three 'failed attempts' of trying to process me a refund, they reassured me that the money would go back in to my account within 5 business days. However the catch is that I have to keep my account active so I can have my money back, meaning I will have to call back when I get my money to waste more time and money trying to cancel the member.

By any means DO NOT order from this website, they do not properly advertise what a VIP membership entails and easily can scam anyone out of their money. Me being familiar with the internet, this could have disastrous effects for people who are not familiar with online shopping or using the internet. I am lucky to be getting a refund as I know many people have not, but do not fall into this awful trap!

SCAMMERS, POOR QUALITY
May 3, 2017

I made an order with JustFab in October 2016. It was a £10 first purchase offer and I thought it was a bargain. The shoes were delivered early which was a little annoying as I had them delivered to my work address and they came on a Saturday, but funny enough I was actually working overtime so worked out fine. The quality of these boots which apparently are worth £70 was not good, they were too tight for a size 4, scuffed during the first use and the arch was weirdly shaped so they were actually unbelievably painful to wear even with padded inserts. I have only worn these shoes 4 times and now they just sit in my wardrobe gathering dust. This is actually the good side to this review, the rest is focused on their terrible obvious scamming system. When you order it states yes it is a subscription site but really you have to dig around for most of this information, it wasn't stated on any adverts I saw that attracted me to the site or on the homepage at the time. A month goes by and I am out on a family weekend, I go to get some money out (a week before pay day so bank account is a tad low) and find less than what I had the day before. Now living on a budget I check my bank account most days. I had to be subbed the money for my meal but my younger sister which is always not embarrassing at all. Anyways the second I got home I logged on and thought that my card details had been stolen until I connected the name on the statement to JustFab. I was so confused, they had charged me £35 when I hadn't ordered anything. I did a little digging as I said earlier and yep, they charge you a monthly subscription fee of £35 for 1 credit which can only be used at their company. Skip a few days of deep investigating and thankfully I didn't even need to contact their customer service which I have read are completely useless and rude. I had made my first purchase through my PayPal so I contacted them and within the same day I got my money refunded by PayPal. A few things which seem fishy and illegal to me and obviously a lot of people. 1) they sign you up automatically for this "VIP" service. There is an option to opt out but unless you scroll right down you won't be able to see this and they don't state it clearly or in big bold letter on their homepage (hmm I wonder why). 2) I went through my PayPal but they were able to take the money direct through my bank through the PayPal with zero direct debit being set up, zero emails or letters being sent to confirm this direct debit or that the money would be taken. Why? Because they are scammers. They obviously make more on the subscription fees being taken from one off customers who are unaware they are signing up to a scam. Total joke. How this company has not been shut down when everywhere I have looked online they are forever getting negative reviews.

Terrible!
April 17, 2017

I originally used Justfab to purchase some shoes as they had a good deal, the shoes arrived quite promptly and where reasonably good quality just abit small but nothing major, I was aware that they charge £35 each month for a VIP Service but I just skip each month by the 5th and it's usually fine, however there has been a couple of months where I have forgotten to skip this month and have been charged. So I ordered some boots which took around a month to arrive even though I paid an extra £6 for fast delivery and then the first day I wore them the whole sole fell off completely, I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of sending them back so I just glued it back on. A few months later I was charged again when I forgot to skip the month but after the terrible quality last time there wasn't anything I wanted to order from them, however it was my mothers birthday last week and she's a bigger woman and it's not always easy to get her size but I noticed justfab had her size so I went on my account to order her a couple of bits and noticed that my credit was no longer there, so I emailed their customer service and got a response back saying they could not find my account. After 3 emails of me sending them my account details and they replied saying they could not find an account with the email *******@outlook. Com which was not my email address and some other poor woman's details they're just giving out. A couple of attempts later they find my account and tell me that the credit was used on a cancelled order and that it would be refunded back as credit (I knew this was bull**** as I hadn't even been on the website in months) but I checked my account and it said I had credit so I didn't worry too much, but then I got to the checkout and the option to use credit wasn't there only to pay by credit/debit card or PayPal, so again I emailed there customer service team who told me several times again that they could not find my account, the whole process took about 2 weeks before I was able to order anything. It's now been another week since I ordered and I have not received an order confirmation to my email and I have not received my items either and also to make it worse I have just looked at my bank account this morning and noticed they have taken £35 out of my account even though I "skipped this month" before the 5th as I was having so many issues with them anyway. I was actually waiting for my items to arrive and then I was going to try and cancel my account altogether, I guess that will be a longer process now as I have to try and get a refund before. I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT EVERYONE STEER CLEAR OF THIS WEBSITE!

7 ways to steer clear of this company and it's VIP membership!
February 9, 2016

Hi everyone,

I wanted to write this review because I felt it was important for consumers to understand that you are not in the wrong just because you got caught out by this company! It's an exceptionally easy mistake to make and they make sure that they trip you up at every possible moment. I would like to point out that some people will say 'oh well you should've read the terms and conditions', ignore these people because its most likely they're in the same position as you and are just embarrassed or think they have some leverage over you because they didn't get caught out. Chances are it's the first situation because they're commenting on a complaints site like this. They just can't admit they got it wrong. In the end these are your consumer rights and your hard earned money that is being taken advantage of.

I bought a pair of shoes in December. I checked out as a guest having read the terms and conditions of the VIP membership and not feeling happy about it. Here's where they first caught me out. When you confirm your purchase they ask you to tick the terms and conditions box, this automatically enrols you into a VIP membership whether you checked out as a guest or not.

Once you become a VIP member this means that you get credit on your account to spend on their products every month. Here's where they catch you out again. If you don't want to buy anything from them that month then you have to go onto your JustFab account 'boutique' and 'skip the month.' HOWEVER you are given an allotted time to do this which is between 1st and 5th of every month. If you fail to 'skip the month' then £35.00 worth of credit will go onto your account to spend every month. Sounds great, until you realise that this £35.00 is coming out of own bank account.

I cottoned onto this situation before I got charged for anything. I rang up to cancel my membership the day after I ordered the pair of shoes. I spoke to a woman called Olive who was incredibly unhelpful but nonetheless confirmed that she had cancelled my account and in order to confirm my cancellation I needed to log in to my account in January and 'skip the month'. All was well until I received an email indicating that I have £35.00 credit to spend for February. Obviously Olive had neglected her duties. Low and behold £35.00 was taken out of my account.

I spoke with my bank who were incredibly helpful and have made sure that any attempted transactions from them will be blocked and they will be issued with a warning. If they fail to comply with the warning they will get fined.

I then spoke to JustFab again to cancel my VIP membership for the second time. I spoke to Denise who cancelled my membership after arguing with me for ten minutes. She tried to tell me that I didn't cancel my membership (we're not friends). What I figured out was that when you first ring them to cancel they will take £35.00 out of your account and then immediately refund it and then claim that you chose to have this £35.00 refunded instead of cancelling your membership. This allows them to take more money from you because you are still technically a member, despite you insisting that you no longer want to be. What they didn't think of was that I didn't have the option to 'skip the month' in December because I ordered the shoes on 14th which was way past the 1st-5th December where one is allowed to 'skip the month.' This means that they actually charged me a membership fee of which they claim on their website that they do not.

So if you find yourself in the tricky position where you have cancelled your membership but they're still taking money, follow these steps:
1. Check your bank account to see how long and how much they are taking out.
2. Check our bank account again to see if they charged you £35 to begin your membership and then refunded it.
3. Ring your bank and explain the situation and they should be able to block the transaction. (Only ring the bank after you have asked JustFab to cancel your membership. Don't bother getting the money out of JustFab because it will take you a while and you'll have to threaten legal action. The bank is a simpler solution.)
4. Ring Just Fab for the second time to cancel your membership and be stern but not impolite with them (As much as you can be because they are infuriating. Don't get flattered by their 'you're a valued customer' jargon.)
5. When they say that they will cancel the membership ask for a cancellation notification number. This will hopefully ensure that you definitely get a notification email stating that you are no longer a JustFab VIP member. It also means you have evidence of your cancellation.
6. Just for precaution keep checking your account so you can be safe in the knowledge that the bank is doing its job and JustFab aren't taking any more money.
7. Report them to the UK trading standards if you feel that this company acts unfairly.
