Liars, Thieves, Incompetents, or all of the above?
October 30, 2018

I placed an order with you guys 7 weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived. I've contacted you now 10 times and DHL four times.

My order # is *******-0

In every instance, either you or your shipping company has refused to accept responsibility. Finally yesterday, a DHL representative told me a bunch of IHerb shipments sent via Global Mail have been going missing in New Zealand once the packages arrive in Auckland. I've contacted New Zealand Post and they have no record. I've concluded that someone either in DHL's Auckland office or the NZ Postal office is stealing the packages. I want a refund and three units of the same item I've ordered or I will continue to post negative reviews of IHerb on every review site I can find.

Here is a copy of the last review of your company I posted:

I'm a busy guy trying to run a small business and take care of my family. I don't have time to have to write you ten times when you fail to provide what I've paid you for. You chose the shipping method. Your are ultimately responsible for this situtaion.

You guys have terrible customer service and management and deserve to suffer the consequences. You are also bad people. A pox and gypsy's curse on you and your families.

Sincerely,

Casey Cravens

Do not order from iherb!
August 3, 2017

A week ago I ordered products from iherb. I payed 80 euros with ideal. Minutes later I got a confirmation. I was happy that I got a good deal on my products and could not wait to get my stuff. After a few days I noticed that I had a message on my iherb app. It said that my order was cancelled because I did not pay. What? I quickly send out an email to iherb about this. Just to be sure I put a picture of my bank account, the payment and all of the information (such as order number and that I payed with ideal) in te email. A few hours later I got a very strange email back. It seemed like an automatic message, saying they did not received the money, saying that I payed with credit card and that I needed a code from my credit card bank? I clearly said that I payed with ideal. This just went back and fort a few times... They send me the same email over and over again. Everytime a different person. What the... Then finally they send me an email that made sense. They told me that the money didn't directly go to them but through Adyen (makes sense cause thats what it said on my bank account) and that they will contact them about this issue. Just to be sure I contacted Adyen through email myself. I got a response from them immediately and they told me that they did transfer my money to iherb, they even sent me the details. Turned out iherb was lying. I send the email I got from Adyen to iherb. Then I got a email back from the same person who blamed adyen. Apparently they had now linked my payment to my order. Finally after 9 emails... I am a very patient person so I told them that it was ok if they send me stuff regardless what happened and that I did not need the money back. I seriously got a email back saying they could not deliver the stuff because of security reasons? And that they will give me my money back. Are they for real? I spend a few hours looking at stuff and going through all this BS for nothing. Ridiculous. To top it off... they ask me if I wanted to contact my bank and ask if they could accept the refund. What are these people talking about? My bank does not need to accept things or deny things. That is not how my bank works. So I told them I would. I didn't because I knew it was BS. A day later my money was refunded and back on my account. Again with the lies iherb. It did took me a week and a lot of hours of writing emails before I got my money back. Never will I ever place a order on iherb again. Liars and thiefs!

Thoroughly disappointed..
October 6, 2016

I placed my first Order with iHerb a couple of months ago. I was firstly enticed by the low price and FREE SHIPPING! But once I clicked on the actual link the item was out of stock and shipping was limited to orders over a certain threshold. I went ahead and ordered anyway. The cost of shipping cost more than the actual product which was really unfortunate.

After my order I got bombarded with emails regarding promotions and a credit voucher I had for my next order. It was very frustrating and I unsubscribed as it really was too much marketing and I never signed up (wittingly) to receive the newsletter and regular emails.

I buy a lot of supplements so I thought, ok lets give these guys another try. With my list in hand I went online to make another Order. This time sufficient enough to take advantage of the free shipping, of course I had a credit also so that was a bonus. Regretfully, once again, the order did not meet the threshold (even though it was $50+) and I was again stuck paying an overpriced shipping charge. I felt duped but you know what I had spent the time researching each product carefully, placing the order so I said what the heck. I decided to proceed, only to find out the credit was not made available, it had expired a few days earlier. I guess the credit only is good for 30 days or something. So not only did I get screwed for shipping, lack of product, but I also was misled about a so called credit. Which by the way, is unlawful in my province of residence, a credit or voucher cannot expire you must refund it if it does.

So even after all of this. I still decide to proceed with my order simply because I have now spent way too much time and Ill just order somewhere else next time. Its a classic bait and switch which does not make me happy nor is it a good way of doing business. Lo and behold, I received my package (quite some time later) and guess what, its COD! Despite having paid an offensive shipping surcharge, having been scammed into placing an Order or the second time, they dont even have the decency to pay the Shipping or taxes and sent it COD! And of course I am now (again without knowledge) back on their spam list.

WOW WATCH OUT FOR THESE SCAMMERS. DO NOT GET SUCKED IN. THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU MAKE ANY ORDER WITH iHerb

In many years of shopping online, this is the very...
January 26, 2014

In many years of shopping online, this is the very first review I've ever left about a company. I usually just wouldn't waste my time. However, my experience was so horrific, I really just believe others need to know about it.

1) I ordered a $100+ shipment with 1-3 expedited shipping from iHerb. When I didn't receive it in about 5 days, I checked the shipping tracker and it said that the shipment had been returned to iHerb. So I emailed iHerb to find out what was going on. I didn't hear a response in 2 days, so I tried their Chat feature on their website. Here is what I was told:

- They get too many emails to respond to them in a timely fashion
- It's not their responsibility to notify me of shipment issues
- They will reship the order (I received no credits, apologies or compensation)

I changed the shipping address on the order because the delay in shipment meant that I'd no longer be at the old address.

2) The next day, when I saw that the shipping confirmation was still showing the old address, I dialed back into Chat.

I was told that the shipping address was corrected, but that one of my products was on backorder. (Why didn't the first rep I spoke with tell me about this?) So I chose to proceed with the order without that item.

When I shared my disappointing experience so far on my first order with iHerb to the rep, his response was that he "is not focused on my emotional well-being." Hmm... I wondered to myself, "Is he focused on my repeat business? Because they sure aren't putting in any effort to secure that."

3) I received the order in 3 days this time and it was missing a 2nd item... one that they didn't tell me wasn't available when I spoke to either of the 2 reps.

4) So I checked my bank statement to see if I had been credited for it. Not only did they not credit me for the additional missing item, but when I looked to see if I was credited for the first, original item I was told was on backorder, they only credited me a portion of the original price I was charged! I was charged $4.80 and they only credited me $4.56.

Yes, I realize that the difference is a measly $. 24, but what upset me was the principle, not the amount. I waited for a total of 13 days to receive an order I was supposed to get in 3 days, the customer service was quite indifferent to my experience (and one was even a bit rude), my order was missing 2 items and I wasn't even fully credited for them.

I submitted another Chat message offline and I'm hoping to get a response.

Seriously, how does a company like this stay in business?
