Whole heartedly agree with not using Flagship One for ECM. I am owner and operator of Parts Plus Automotive repairs and parts and ordered a replacement ECM for a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9l gas engine. The original issue was a total system failure with the Computer not connecting with the ECM so it was determined that the ECM was defective. This determination was made after EVERY sensor on the vehicle was replaced and the electrical connections and harness were thoroughly inspected, and ALL vacuum lines inspected and replaced even if they looked the slightest suspect. The new ECM arrived and was installed and immediately the vehicle started and seemed to run as it was designed to run, however THE CODE p0505 for IAC pops up. So had my guys replace the IAC yet again, because it happens you get a bad one sometimes. Cleared the code started the vehicle and the code came right back. So Now I am involved and start to try and figure out what is creating the issue. Re inspect the wiring, disconnect every ground and clean and reconnect, looked at vacuum hoses and clear the code and try again code comes back immediately upon starting. Determine the vehicle seems to run well up to about 3700 RPM and then starts to pop and skip. Took the ECM back off sent it back to flagship for testing and they assured me that the components were working properly but the programing that I think is the issue I am sure was not tested. Got the unit back and still have the same issue, it will start and run but the IAC code comes right back. Now the kicker is they will replace it with a new unit but the LIFETIME warranty is at that point VOIDED, or I can send it back for a refund MINUS $85 for the PROGRAMING FEE which I feel is the problem in the first place. DONT USE flagship one for your ECM needs especially if you are a do-it-yourself mechanic and on a budget. Now I have to find a replacement and eat the loss on this one.
