On the positive side, customers appreciate the unique meta-search feature and the charitable aspect of the service, which appeals to those looking to support animal welfare. However, significant concerns arise regarding the functionality and reliability of the search results, with users often finding them inadequate for specific needs. I really really wanted to like Dogpile as an alternative to the big three search engines. However, it basically is non-functional and clunky. I use it mostly to search for specific auto and airplane parts, but the search results involve everything but parts. I usually break down and go back to Google.
Keep trying guys... I'll periodically check back and give it a try. Again, I really want you to succeed. Thanks.
Search multiple search engines at once and help animals in need! - I realize Dogpile might just be another company with a silly sales gimmick, but I've totally fallen for this one. The service is a meta-search, which means you type in your search and Dogpile uses Google, Ask.com, etc to give you results. Not that interesting, but each time you search, a small amount of money is donated to animals in need (dog search in rescue)... yeah I know I'm a sucker, but I love dogs.
I went to a site for a harmless looking game, it sent me to DOGPILE, and WAS IT EVER... got a virus that just killed my other puter... THANKS DOG S***
